entertainment for the trip – something to pass the time

 

headphones – for music or a movie

 

travel Pillow or sweater- for naps 🙂

 

Pen – for filling in a form during the flight.

Bathroom Supplies

 

Toothbrush, Floss, mouthwash IM NOT YOUR MOTHER, YOU KNOW THE DRILL.

 

Toilet paper – 5 star resort. Probably 1 star ply.

 

aloe vera – better safe than sorry.

 

shampoo / conditioner – Leave in conditioner – body wash 

razors and other toiletry things 

hangover cures! Tylenol, tums, etc.

 

makeup + FACE wipes

Glasses, contacts, solution – if your as blind as me, don’t be. 

 

hair supplies + wet brush 

Beach Essentials

 

Sunscreen – a given.

 

bug spray – no one wants to deal with bites on a trip.

 

tumbler or large mug – less waiting in line for drink refills 😉

 

sunglasses – 😎

swim suits – a must.

 

flip flops – also a must.

 

SUN HAT – THE FLOPPIEST ONE AROUND.

 

beach bag – makes life a lot easier.

Clothing + Attire

 

RUNNING SHOES – FOR GOING INTO TOWN OR any EXCURSIONs.

 

SEMI-FORMAL / FORMAL WEAR – FOR À la cartE restaurants.

 

Summer clothing –hallelujah

 

windbreaker or sweater – evenings can get chilly and may can usually call for some light rain. 

 

suitcase lock – there is a safe in each room but just in case you are worried.

 

MASKS – JUST IN CASE?

HAND SANITIZER – BECAUSE PANDEMIC THINGS.

 

PHONE CHARGER – a must.

 

CAMERA – OR JUST DON’T FORGET YOUR PHONE CHARGER.

 

YOUR DANCING FEET – very important. 

Other Important Things

 

travel insurance – no one ever plans for things to go wrong but just in case!

 

cellular data – chat with your provider if you plan on using your phone to make sure you avoid extra charges or are on the right plan.

 

banking – call your bank & let them know you’re travelling before using any cards in mexico. Nobody wants to deal with a frozen account 🙁

 

CURRENCY – The resort and town will accept USD or pesos. I’m not an expert on the tips and tricks to saving money using one or the other, so please ask others before converting.
